Pre-Carnival Events
Every Sunday after Epiphany in January- through Ash Wednesday in February
Pre-Carnival events start in January on the first Sunday after the Epiphany and continues until Ash Wednesday in February. Every Sunday there is a local parade in a differnt neighborhood of the island.

Harmony Night or "les mardis de Grand-Case"
Every Tuesday night from January through April
Grand-Case Village comes alive for an evening of fining dining and street entertainment, music and fun. The main street is turned into a pedestrian zone allowing people wander about the streets. All shops are open late into the evening.

Every Wednesday & Sunday Nights Mid-December - March
Along the waterfront in Marigot local bands play and vendors set up selling produce from the region. You can taste traditional foods and enjoy local entertainment.

The culmination of pre-carnival events takes place the week before Mardi Gras & Ash Wednesday. Carnival Village opens where concerts & shows are going on non-stop.

Heineken Regatta
Generally the first weekend of March from Thursday to Sunday
Every year a group of avid sailors get together to enjoy a week of fun. World class yachtsman race against amateurs in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere. During this time of year no matter where you are on the island you are sure to see some of the two hundred colorful sail boats that descend upon the island of St Martin. It is a great opporuntiy to partake in the festivties that surround the regatta.

Art Lovers' Weekend
A designated weekend in March
Artists from around the island of St Martin showcase their art & their galleries to the locals and visitors. If an artist does not have their own gallery they are invited to exhibit in one. It is a great way to see all the island has to offer in the way of art.

Easter Holidays
Easter Weekend
This is a great way to see the locals' traditions. Hundreds of families go camping especially at Le Galion beach and Pinel Island to enjoy music, games and food.

Two Weeks in April
The Dutch celebrate Carnival in April with almost two weeks of parades and parties. Carnival Village is open in Philipsburg and non-stop shows and parties are going on.

Fish Day in Cul De Sac
May 1st
In France this day is celebrated as Labor Day, but in St Martin it is a day dedicated to fish. A lot of entertainment surrounds the ferry jetty in the Cul De Sac where visitors can see and taste the varieties of fish the island of St Martin has to offer. Fish are celebrated all day and night with lots of fun and entertainment.

Carib Beer Regatta at Captain Oliver's
Two Days in May
A weekend of mono-hull & multi-hull racing around the island starting at Captain Oliver's Marina in Oyster Pond. Partying & entertainment last throughout the two-day event.

St Maarten Golf Tournament
May
Every year in May the St Maarten Golf Association organizes a fund-raiser to benefit several humanitarian causes. The event is held on the course at Mullet bay with visitors and locals invited to participate.

Deep Sea Fishing Tournament
June
The Billfish Tournament is held every year in June & it has become one of the most important fishing tournaments for sports fishing enthusiasts in the Caribbean. The Inernational Fishing Federation organizes this event where fisherman try to break the record weigh-in of 781 pounds!
Music Festival

Held on the waterfront in Marigot this two-day event celebrates local & international music with ongoing concerts by professionals & amateurs.
