Sur l'île cohabitent deux pays lesquels sont Marigot, côté Français (Saint-Martin) et Phillipsburg, côté Hollandais (Sint-Maarten). Alors que les deux côtés se démarquent culturellement, il en va de même pour le shopping ; 2 expériences différentes.
Shopping à St. Martin (Côté français)
Le chef lieu se nomme Marigot, et c'est ici que vous trouverez le plus de choix à Saint Martin. La plupart des boutiques se concentrent autour de 2 marinas. La marina Royale, et la Marina Fort Louis. A la Marina Royale dont le centre commercial porte le même nom, vous flânerez de boutiques en boutiques tout en admirant les bateaux. A Fort Louis le tout récent West Indies vous accueille dans un environnement luxueux et climatisé. Les deux offrent de nombreux articles haut de gammes, de parfumerie et de prêt à porter. Les mercredi et samedi est installé le marché. Les vendeurs vous proposent toutes sortes d'articles, du poisson fraichement sorti de l'eau, des épices, des fruits, articles de décorations. Vous retrouverez à Marigot une ambiance similaire à celle de la côte d'azure.
Shopping à St Maarten (Côté Hollandais)
Large de 4 rues, et long de prêt de 2 kilomètres, vous découvrirez tout ce qu'un vacancier souhaite retrouver, notamment lorsque l'on parle de bijouterie. Front street et back street rassemblent la majorité des boutiques, vendant des articles de luxe à un prix que vous ne trouverez nulle part ailleurs. Ici les boutiques ferment un peu plus tard, les chalands étant attirés par les casinos.
Achat hors taxe /Duty Free à St Martin/St Maarten
Grace au statut fiscal des 2 parties de l'île, Saint martin et Sint maarten sont exemptés de taxe à l'import comme à l'export. Ces endroits sont devenus un paradis pour les " shoppers ". Les deux côtés de l'île proposent de grandes opportunités d'affaires, où vous dénicherez à des prix imbattables de nombreux articles de luxe. Ce n'est pas pour rien si les bateaux de croisières font régulièrement escales, permettant à leurs passagers d'acheter des bijoux, de matériel électronique, et autre produits prestigieux.

Look for it at the marina.

With a name like "Lipstick," you can be certain that this shop specializes in cosmetics. In fact, they sell some of the world's best-known designer brands of toiletries and also carry a host of intoxicating French perfumes. Best of all, since the island's duty-free, everything is an amazing bargain. Make sure to stock up on your favorite scents. Another location can be found on Front Street in Philipsburg.
